The app is ok. But the computer cheats way too often with things like multiple doubles for itself while you get crappy rolls. The harder the difficulty the worse it gets. But if you play less challenging difficulties the computer still gets a ton of one sided rolls but then makes bonehead moves. The game gets very unchallenging and boring fast. Yet on the difficult level it is frustrating with all of the one sidedness

Love the game. But, the opposition seems to receive far more lucky moves than me.

Five reasons I have not bought this yet: 5. I shut the sound off in settings, because its just dumb. 4. The computer rolls miraculous doubles repeatedly, then does the same for me. Why cant it be more random? Unusable doubles always show up when a marker is on the bar, as if for comic relief. 3. The computer makes stupid errors in judgement. Does it need another harder level, where it just plays smart without cheating? 2. Too many responses needed on the "okay" button. Could be "touch screen anywhere". Bearing-off button area could be bigger. Play on the iphone is harder due to small screen and big fingers. 1. ***important-fix this*** Both the computer and the player need to be able to forfeit a game, without forfeiting the match. When a game is out of hand, the play gets outright tedious. Unfortunately, this is the best backgammon app Ive found. It doesnt look like the developer is interested in improving it. Despite all this, it is addictive and I will buy it to rid myself of the annoying ads. Thanks, I guess.

Enjoy playing however, I do agree with other reviews. Dice rolls are stacked in favour of iPhone.

I have played this game for many years but with every update the game gets worse. The iPhone always land on a open spot on first roll. Player takes 4-6 rolls to get back on the board. iPhone always gets multiple doubles. Player get doubles when two men left on the board. This was one of the best games when they first started. Now, not worth your time. Love backgammon

Needs an update. Computer player always accepts a double.

The dice rolls are almost always to the favour of the iphone.. 3 doubles in a row?? Almost every game?

The game is buggy. But it has decent strategy for the computer as compared to the other backgammon game I tried. It is worth playing.

Could I get help? Cant play it on my iPad anymore 1/3 of my screen is black. I can play with my other apps and the game is ok on my phone. Please help me

If you are looking to hone your backgammon skills, look elsewhere. While the game has the features you might want the programming is deeply flawed. In the challenging (hard) mode, the dice role unerringly in favour of the computer - its not even close to parity. Need a 3 6 combination? No problem. 3 sets of doubles while baring off? Piece of cake. If, in pursuit of a more balanced game you try a lower skill level,the game simply lets opportunities to challenge you pass by. No sadly, playing more than one or two games in a row is far to frustrating for me. Ill continue to look elsewhere.

iPhone cheats!!! Dont waste your time on this one.

I only play hard mode... I win more than the computer does. If you are really good at the game you know how to beat the computer no matter what.

As soon as you play in Hard, the iPhone mysteriously always gets the rolls it needs. Would never pay for this app.

The computer cheats so bad on hard rating it isnt fun at all just frustrating. Always gets the roll it needs to win and even starting roll I played 45 games only won the dice toss twice!

Have finally had enough of this game the black pieces just got 5 doubles in a row this app is on its way to the trash

Doesnt work on iOS 9. AND IT STILL CHEATS LIKE CRAZY. its a shame that the best looking backgammon game on iOS doesnt have a good enough AI to compete with human players so it resorts to cheating like mad. Folks, please DONT BUY THIS GAME UNTIL THE GAMEPLAY IS FIXED! Dont encourage developers that build cheating into their games!

So theres no point in the computer cheating. Deleted.

Once you beginning playing at a higher level, the odds are completely against you; the program seems to roll whatever it needs to dominate the game. Deleted the app, wont be playing again.

Paid for the full system. Played four months. Medium level so stupid its laughable. Hard level is not random. 98 time out of 100, the computer "rolls" exactly whats needed to knock off the first exposed player. 74 times out of 100 the computer wins the roll. You will learn nothing playing this game. Waste of time.

I refuse to play this game on my iPhone. Total crap. Cheats like crazy. Never leave a piece alone. Computer ALWAYS gets it. Total frustration.
