The dice rolls could be more random.

The best backgammon game so far! The opponent is really tough when the difficulty is hard. There are only 2 things I dislike about this game: - Dice is rolled even when the house board is blocked - Rolling dice is a bit slow

Dice rolls are suspiciously in favour of iPhone in hard level, but you cant switch to medium cause it makes obvious stupid moves. You dont wanna play it at the end.

I love this game and play it often. There is a bug though which sways things in the players favour. The computer never refuses a double even when it is certain to lose! I only play the hard level but it may apply to other levels too. I have had the game for years and Im sure it wasnt always like this, maybe it crept in with an update. Anyway despite this advantage I still lose regularly.

On the easier settings, it just makes really bad moves when other moves are available that even someone new to the game would easily recognize as being better, smarter... like leaving too many checkers open to being hit or not moving off the board (bearing off) when it could do so. On the hard setting, it rolls more doubles, or gets the exact amount needed, much more often than ever would be expected from good (even-weighted) dice. Why would I upgrade to their Pro version (non-free), when this app does not give me any confidence that the developer can write an app with good AI. Perhaps the only solution is to use the 2-person setting and play against myself... sigh. Or... just delete the app.

Easy to use. Good for any waiting Time

Mildly entertaining in the lower levels, but the author has implemented difficulty by changing the odds on dice rolls. Far too many doubles and specific most advantageous rolls in hard mode. Difficulty should be implemented by skillful move choice, not by stacking the dice. Frustrating to unplayable.

But it would be fun to play against friends with there own ipads or iphones

Backgammon is a good game. This game, like other versions, either gets far too many doubles or gets exactly the right roll, on the harder levels.

Ive been playing backgammon at an expert level for 30 years. This game is horrible. Its ridiculously easy to win every game when set to the easy or medium level. When set to the "hard" level, The computer doesnt win by using strategy or reacting to your strategy, it wins by rolling a series of doubles or "ideal" rolls every time. Completely unbelievable and improbable dice rolls.

iPhone gets way better rolls consistently- ruins the game by taking out randomness in the rolls. Also skips my turn all the time saying theres no valid moves available when I can clearly see many possible moves left

Wish this game was made to be more competitive - odds totally stacked in apps favour. App gets constant doubles and just the right combinations to advance quicker. Time to fix the odds on this one !!!

Played 1 and a bit games against the computer. It got doubles 9 times in that span and always 5s or 6s. Crap game with a bad algorithm

Fun game to play, would recommend!

Near perfect. Still at pro level, still some stupid moves. 9/10.

Easy to use and engaging. Graphics are smooth and not clumsy. But too many times youll get exactly the roll you need to pull off a difficult win; I think the dice are rigged for fixed outcomes. Stick to actual Backgammon with another human being if you want the real excitement that comes with the game.

Dice rolls are basically in the computers favour, not yours!

Strange useless spammy icons appear at bottom of screen. If you tap them, app quits unexpectedly. If this happens in the middle of the game, you cannot get back to where you were. Waste if time...
