This is a game I love and this one is excellent so far......

Maybe its because Ive been spoiled by Jellyfish, which is the best backgammon software Ive ever used. But I cant stand this app. The game pace is very slow, the computer is a poor opponent even on the hardest difficulty, and apparently the programmer is not aware about the point bonuses when you gammon or backgammon an opponent.

The way they made the hard level hard is by giving the AI 3 doubles for every one you get. And it will give you dice rolls that force you to expose a piece and then of course the AI gets a roll that allows it to take your piece. The interface is ok so I gave it 2 stars but I found a better app so I am deleting this one.

I have always loved playing this game even as a kid. Its great for passing the time. Do I think the computer cheats sometimes, yes. But, I still love and enjoy the game. It has always been great for passing the time when you are waiting for an appointment, or other important event that requires your attention that day, but requires you to be patient for a little while. Which is where this game comes in very handy, especially since it doesnt require the internet in areas where the wifi reception is poor quality. I would recommend this game to anyone. Its a classic.

This is worse then the slots at casinos....poorly formatted....have years of playing backgammon, so I understand statistic of dice rolls, this game does not. If you want to brush up your skills and logic fine a different backgammon game.

Im highly disappointed with the cheating!

Overall its a great game, but it has two problems: 1. Random numbers are not really random. An improvement is required 2. Resign button: once you know the game is lost, you should be able to offer a resignation to the opponent

I enjoy playing it, but it has a limit of difficulty. in other words, there are situations where I beat it all the time and its because "it" makes poor decisions.

I had decided to give this Backgammon app a try; as a different developers apps Ai rolled so many doubles and left me with unusable rolls. I can see that the only fair game I will ever get will be IRL. Uninstalling this one, too.

The computer rolls doubles, on average, four times more often. Theres no way to win or improve in that situation.

I understand that the AI is hard to write for challenging levels, and messing with the rolls is one way to even the odds, but its so infuriating to have the game roll 3 doubles in a row at the end to win (has happened 4-5 times in the last couple of months). Ive also noticed that I seem to roll double a lot when Im trying to get a piece in play and cant use them. I wonder if thats a technique to statistically hide the doubles discrepancy (i.e. You both got the same absolute number of doubles, you just cant use yours because an entry space is blocked). Too biased. Im done.

What are the odds of being ahead two games in a row and losing by one roll? Additionally, the computer rolled double 5s and 6s in a row, while I rolled 1 and 2 combo three times in a row, both games at the end. Maybe I should go buy a lottery ticket.

Nice way to unwind, I enjoy playing the game. Havent had the game long enough to rate it, I hope It keeps my interest.

It took me only 24 hours to go from really happy with this app to removing it from my phone. The constant non-believable dice rolls the computer rolls for itself are maddening. Ive never seen so many doubles! I would think the developers would make some effort to repair this gripe mentioned in many of the reviews.

4 threes in a row? 4 fives in a game? Numbers get repeated and repeated - 4-3 5-4 2-1 - all the time. This game is the best on the iPhone but the inconsistent random number generator is terrible. Needs to be fixed.

Otherwise would be a pretty good game. So now I am way ahead and get about four 2/1 on the dice roll while it gets four doubles and I get none. Nearing the end it get double sixes then decides to double me. Hmmm.....unfortunately more of the same with the current update.

We only play head to head and game play is easy and clean, however, it could be improved slightly if the dice for the dark player were also dark. When your chatting and partly paying attention (which is how we play) it would be helpful.

This game really isnt even, fun the app cheats. I have never had a game app cheat the way this one does, really sad. Rolls doubles for itself at least 3 or 4 to 1 on average and especially the at the end of the game.
